Hey, Mr. Jogger.
I just read your post about the student who wanted an "A". Since it's the last week of our spring semester, I feel your pain---my students are doing the same thing... even my "good" students with whom I've never had trouble. Honestly, I think that the stress of the end of the semester and the realization that their chances to "make the grade" have run out make them very reactionary, defensive, etc. It is *definitely* a hard thing to deal with!
