I wasn't sure how to count yesterday's run. I had neither an official distance nor an official time. And I walked quite a bit. I've been counting walking time that comes as part of a run, but not walks with the dog, for example.
Eventually, I decided to count 13.1 miles in 2:30. I remember that the 5 hour pace group passed me right at the halfway mark, and I looked at my watch and realized that they were right on pace (the bastards!) Since I mostly walked after that point, I'll just let it go, at least as far as progress is concerned.
You'll note that the countdown clock to the left has been updated to count down to the Lakefront Marathon, in Milwaukee. I'm already signed up. And I have something to prove, now.
I think that today will be the worst day, in terms of feeling bad about the Madison Marathon. I didn't get to run, I'm tired and sore, and I got nothing to show for it. No medal, and a t-shirt I don't want to wear.
Tomorrow, I'm going to go out and start training for Lakefront.

Sorry about your DNF, some things just aren't meant to be. Give yourself a rest before starting to train for the next one, though. You have time. I bet your body needs it!
